Order & Payment Protection
High-Risk Order Policy
THE PAPERMATES
Overview
To protect our customers, our cardholders, and our business from fraud and unauthorized transactions, The Papermates screens all orders for fraud and chargeback risk. Orders flagged as High Risk or Medium Risk are subject to the policy below.
The Policy
This measure is in place to protect our end of every transaction and to safeguard all cardholders against fraud and unauthorized charges. It applies to all products and services, including:
Classes include the 4-Day Trading Edu and any other live or recorded programs. If your order is refunded under this policy and you believe it was flagged in error, you are welcome to reach out to us or place a new order using a verified payment method and accurate billing information.
Why an Order May Be Marked High Risk
Orders are scored automatically by our payment and fraud-analysis systems. An order may be flagged as High or Medium Risk for reasons including, but not limited to:
- Billing & shipping address mismatch — the billing address does not match the address on file with the card issuer.
- Failed address (AVS) or card (CVV) checks — the entered billing details or security code did not match the issuing bank's records.
- Use of a VPN, proxy, or anonymized connection — the order location is masked or the IP location does not match the billing country/region.
- Billing location far from the order's IP or shipping location — a significant geographic mismatch between where the order was placed and the cardholder.
- Multiple orders or payment attempts in a short window — repeated attempts, especially with different cards or after declines.
- Card reported lost, stolen, or linked to prior fraud — including cards associated with previous chargebacks.
- Mismatched or suspicious customer details — inconsistent name, email, phone, or payment information.
- High-risk email or payment characteristics — such as newly created or disposable email addresses, or payment methods commonly linked to fraud.
- Prior chargeback or dispute history — associated with the customer or payment method.
Placing a Successful Order
To help ensure your order is approved and fulfilled without delay:
- Use your accurate billing address exactly as it appears on your card statement.
- Enter your name, email, and payment details correctly and consistently.
- Avoid using a VPN or proxy when completing your purchase.
- Use a valid payment method in good standing issued in your billing country.
This policy exists to keep both our customers and our business safe. We appreciate your understanding, as these protections benefit every cardholder.
